Hi my name is Phil and I'm a freelance consultant/web-programmer specialising in PHP & SQL based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. I am currently looking for contracts in London to start work in the new year. Please get in touch if you would like to arrange an interview. My rates are extremely competitive too. I am more interested in doing a good job for a reputable company to build my portfolio than how much I get paid. I am a fast learner, ready to face challenges and have the ability to work autonomously.

Commercial Projects/Clients

I have implemented projects for a number of clients, but since I specialise more in back end functionality websites, I cannot take credit for the final product where I have worked in a team. Additionally, I have worked mainly on privately accessible control panels which I cannot publish specific details of here. These could be CMS systems or just general control panels that allow the website owner to control their system. Although I call myself a web developer, I have a great passion for working with complex applications/systems which provide a web interface.

About Me

The nature of web-programming allows me to work anywhere with an internet connection and a pc. Thanks to the internet, emails and skype, it is possible to arrange meetings to keep in touch with me. However, I am currently looking for full-time contracts in London which would mean me commuting to your offices, and working with your development team.

I have a 2.1. degree in Computer Science with Software Engineering from Birmingham University. Please see my experience page for language specifics that I could help you with. I have been programming fulltime in the industry for 6 years and have decided to take the freelance route due to the variety of work and the freedom and flexibility of working from home. I hope to build up my portfolio of freelance work and my reputation in the near future.
